JA Winter Show gets year off to brisk start.(Trade Notes)

The JA New York Winter Show was staged a week earlier than usual, at the Javits Convention Center.

According to show director Drew Lawsky, "The flow of the show was great." JA reported consistent foot traffic throughout the show. Among the design trends highlighted at the show was a return to rose gold and colored pearls along with rough-cut stones in designer lines. The JA New York Winter Show is the first major event of the year giving buyers a look at new lines and enabling them to plan ahead as well as to replenish their shelves following the Christmas buying season. Buyers were also looking for Valentine's Day items.
