Apr. 15--Nancy Evans knows you've seen it before: macrame quilts, grandma's doilies, catch phrases spelled-out in needle-point. Now the Covington woman wants you to see the finer side of textiles in an exhibit featuring paper-thin examples from her collection of antique lace. "There's no point of having a collection unless you're sharing it and showing it," said Evans, who has been saving lace since the 1960s. Don't get her wrong; Evans owns her fair share of doilies, but her collection is also home to rare items such as an early-20th-century ivory cotton lace dress, complete with train, and an Elizabethan hat made of metallic lace …
