Apr. 13--A slender woman in alluring lingerie and stiletto heels retches over a toilet bowl. Her hands are pressed against its rim, her legs spread-eagled over its opening and her face obscured by cascading hair.
In creating the black-and-white image, Kelsey Potter, a 17-year-old senior at El Camino High School, said she wanted to parody models portrayed in Victoria's Secret catalogs. And without the unsightly toilet bowl, the vomit and drug paraphernalia on top of a dresser behind her, the oil painting would look like a photograph in a fashion magazine.
"I wanted her to have an eating disorder," Potter said this week at Arimosa, a salon and spa at 20th and J streets. Potter's paintings are among 40 to 50 pieces created by El Camino art students…
