Tailor to the medium
IWR's readership survey last month threw up some interesting results. Not only did we learn a great deal about the changing roles of information professionals, we also got a rare opportunity to investigate how users like to consume IWR content.
Like everyone in the information community, whether an information department in an organisation or an information provider, IWR produces content in three distinct mediums: print, online and a blog. This year's survey and analysis of our web traffic have revealed that the three audiences are not one and the same. While there is some crossover of print readers at the blog and web readers joining our print community, most users of the print and web editions are very different.
