Apr. 12--Four of the five members of the Madera County Board of Supervisors watched the Fresno Grizzlies season opener from a luxury suite as guests of the Chukchansi tribe, sparking more criticism of the board's approach to the state's open meetings law. The four supervisors "appear to be extremely insensitive to the perception that they've created when gathering at the game," said Jim Ewert, legal counsel for the California Newspaper Publishers Association.
