DaimlerChrysler's Jeep division brings two new Jeeps to New York: the all-new second-generation 2008 Liberty and the freshened 2008 Grand Cherokee.
One of the biggest changes in the Liberty will be invisible to most of the general public-at least, those who don't get down on their hands and knees to peek under the new ute. For 2008, the Liberty eschews its live rear axle-and trucklike ride-in favor of the better on-road comfort and maneuverability of an independent front and five-link rear suspension setup.
