Your recent online Poll Position survey asked, "Do you tune the cars you own?'' I belong to the 29 percent of respondents who do tune their rides. The only tuning I've done so far on my 1998 Mazda MX-5 is adding a Jackson Racing supercharger kit. I haven't even touched the breathing-out part (still have the factory exhaust system), and I might never do that. As is, the car seems beautifully balanced performance-wise. I also have an RX-8, which makes for a great GT, but my Miata "Kompressor'' (lighter, now with a better power-to-weight ratio) is nimbler, quicker, faster and more fun than ever.
