Upset that Happy Feet beat Pixar's Cars in the race for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards, the Polish Racing Drivers of America issued its own "Oscar'' to John Lasseter and the crew that put together the animated story of Lightning McQueen.
Said PRDA president Oscar Koveleski: "Millions of auto-racing fans were shocked that a movie of a bunch of singing ducks in tuxes got the recent Oscar.''
Besides Lasseter, PRDA members Dave Deal (who worked up character cars for the movie) and Paul Newman (the voice of Doc Hudson) also were honored.
