Statesman News Service CHENNAI, March 31. The shutdown in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to protest the Supreme Court stay on implementing the 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in admissions to Central government institutions of higher learning today turned out to be total and a model bandh. It was peaceful throughout with no instances of coercion anywhere. Police were deployed everywhere to check unlawful activities. Incidentally, the police also got into the job of transporting stranded passengers in their vans and buses from the Central Railway station in Chennai earning kudos from passengers.
