Section: Regional News - Representatives from the Lao Government, the UN Development Programme (UNDP), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) signed a 64.5 million USD cooperation agreement for the 2007-2011 period in Vientiane on Mar. 28.

Under the deal, the UNDP will provide 54 million USD to help Laos boost the Laos National Assembly's law making capacity, clear and manage unexploded ordnances and landmines, as well as manage natural resources.
