Jol happy Jenas out of England squad.

TOTTENHAM boss Martin Jol believes they will benefit from Jermaine Jenas (left) and Michael Dawson being left out of the England squad this week.

Spurs' match against Reading on Sunday will be their 50th this season of which Dawson has featured in 49.

Jenas, on the other hand, spent two months out with a fractured ankle and is now running back into form.

"It is why I wasn't gutted Jenas wasn't named in the England squad, probably for the first time in a good while," said Jol.

"Dawson needed that rest from games," said Jol on the club's official website.
