Firstar - most of it, anyway - stays put, but office hunt still on. (Firstar Corp. renews lease on corporate headquarters)

Firstar Corp. has reached an agreement to renew its lease for about 580,000 square feet at Firstar Center, but still plans to seek an additional 250,000 square feet of office space elsewhere.

In all, Firstar leases about 650,000 square feet in the 1.08-million-square-foo Firstar Center, 777 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, and in two adjoining buildings. The bank holding company announced in April that it planned to study alternate office sites for its operation.

Firstar's leases expire at the end of 1997.
