Mar. 29--Some Alvernia College students wanted to show young people in Reading what they can accomplish when they set a goal and give a full effort. So, members of the Students in Free Enterprise group at Alvernia have been working since October with about 40 students from Southwest Middle School to organize a talent show and dance.
The event is set for 6:30 to 9:30 tonight at the middle school, 300 Chestnut St. First, the Alvernia club members showed the Southwest students how to prepare resumes and complete job applications and interviews. Then they "hired" the middle school students for different tasks associated with…
