Tehran, 25 March 25: In a statement issued on Sunday the Foreign Ministry regretted the ratification of a new sanctions resolution against Iran by the Security Council.

The UN Security Council unanimously adopted the Resolution 1747 on Saturday [24 march] imposing new sanctions against Iran under the pretext that Tehran has refused to suspend its nuclear enrichment activities.

In our view this resolution is unlawful, and unjustified and also outside the framework of the duties of the Security Council, the Foreign Ministry spokesman …
