KARACHI: Justice Rana Bhagwandas, the senior most judge of the Supreme Court after non-functional chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was sworn in as the acting chief justice at the apex court's Karachi Registry on Saturday.

Justice Javed Iqbal, who was the acting chief justice for two weeks in the absence of Justice Bhagwandas, administered the oath.
