Mar. 21--Families of 81 preschoolers were erroneously told their children had gotten spots in Charlotte-Mecklenburg's Montessori magnet schools next year, district officials said today. Those families are getting letters this week notifying them of the error. "Most of the parents are understanding, but some are certainly angry," Superintendent Peter Gorman said. CMS runs a computerized lottery to award seats in magnet programs.
