Cornwell bags EC e-guidance update

The European Commission has awarded Cornwell Management Consultants a [pounds sterling]200,000 deal to update European guidance on the management of electronic information.
The British firm now has the task of defining the next generation of its original Model Requirements for Electronic Records Management, known as MoReq, which was created seven years ago and became a Europe-wide standard.
Cornwell said the new specification -- called MoReq2 -- would be finished by the end of the year and, like its predecessor, would be designed to be replicated by organisations across the continent. The firm expects MoReq2 to be available for download free of charge early next year.
