Blackwell Publishing, recently acquired by Wiley, is to launch a new medical journal, Clinical and Translational Science (CTS), in January 2008.
The bi-monthly CTS will focus on translational studies -- sometimes known as "bench to bedside" or "personalised medicine" -- which looks at ways of bridging between basic lab science and the clinical arena.
It aims to publish new research in the area and provide direction and support to a readership of investigators, trainees, regulatory bodies and industry leaders.
Blackwell said that CTS would be published as an independent, peer-reviewed journal and edited by Arthur Feldman, professor of medicine at Jefferson Medical College in the US.
