Google makes Mini 2.2 enterprise-class

Google is targeting its Mini search hardware and software system at major organisations with its latest range of upgrades to the blue box.

The dominant web search provider has also introduced a new set of applications to enable information professionals to integrate Google Mini with heavyweight corporate systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications.

Version 2.2 of Google Mini now includes Google OneBox for Enterprise (introduced last year into Google Search Appliance). OneBox allows Mini users to search and communicate with other enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Exchange.
