Mar. 18--Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools' planners have bumped some projects down a few notches in the latest construction priority list, but the most pressing needs in the Mecklenburg Neighbors coverage area remain fairly high in the attention of school officials. The system's 10-year capital needs list, originally released last fall, has been updated several times, as CMS officials wrestle with competing needs and limited money. The most recent change came in late January, and the school board is expected to take up the issue -- and approve the list -- sometime in the next few weeks.
