Mar. 18--Close to 200 people raised concerns last week that two major developments -- including a proposed 1,500-home subdivision -- would overcrowd schools and worsen traffic in the Sherrills Ford area.
Crescent Resources, a real-estate development and land-management company in Charlotte, plans to build a "village center" with up to 577,000 square feet of retail and office space and up to 350 homes. It's planned for the intersection of Slanting Bridge Road and N.C. 150.
