Mar. 16--Extra counselors were called to West Charlotte High School Thursday after the death of a respected teacher left some students so emotionally shaken they required medical attention. Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools officials say Rosina Izzard, who taught exceptional children and coached West Charlotte's varsity cheerleading squad, died Thursday morning at a local hospital. When word reached the campus, some students were so shaken that paramedics had to be summoned.
