Mar. 15--DEVELOPER ADVOCATES AFFORDABLE HOUSING: One of the nation's leading residential developers has become a passionate advocate for work force housing. And he's backing his passion with millions of dollars.
Ron Terwilliger, chairman and CEO of Atlanta-based Trammell Crow Residential, is donating $5 million to Columbia, Md.-based Enterprise Community Partners, a nonprofit organization that helps develop affordable housing.
The new $5 million Enterprise Terwilliger Fund is in addition to a $5 million donation to the Urban Land Institute for the Terwilliger Center for Workforce Housing.
Within the past year, Terwilliger also has given $2 million to Habitat for Humanity --- $1 million to help relocate the organization's international headquarters to Atlanta and another $1 million to Habitat's Atlanta chapter.
