The team to beat
Though it won't have Juan Pablo Montoya as a co-driver for the rest of the season, the Rolex 24-winning Chip Ganassi Racing Riley-Lexus, which also won the overall Daytona Prototype title in 2006, returns to defend that championship, led by regular driver Scott Pruett. Pruett's Rolex 24 win gave him seven class victories in the race, the most of any driver.
Rubber match
Tire supplier Hoosier returns for 2007, but Pirelli will take over in 2008, supplying rubber for the Prototype and GT classes through 2010. Hoosier will remain as tire supplier for the Koni Challenge series through 2010.
