Mar. 13--The N.C. Highway Patrol says a 74-year-old man was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Iredell County. The wreck happened on U.S. 21, near Barfield Road, not far from Shepherd Elementary School. That is about halfway between Mooresville and Troutman.

According to the highway patrol, a pickup truck being driven by Henry Troutman collided with a minivan driven by a woman. Troopers say it appeared as if Troutman's truck crossed the center line on U.S. 21. Troutman was killed in the collision. His wife, who was a passenger in the truck, was…
