Bioequivalence studies centre to be established.

The government would establish centre for Bioequivalence studies and bioassay research, aimed at improving quality of pharmaceutical products in the country. In this regard, a project has been approved which would have a significant impact on the export potential of the Pakistani pharmaceutical companies, Higher Education Commission (HEC) announced here on Saturday.

The project will offer, for the first time in Pakistan a certified reference laboratory that would conduct Bioequivalence evaluation and development of generic pharmaceutical products in full compliance with the regulatory authorities in Europe, USA, and Japan.
