THE LOCAL FILM EVENT LAST MONTH WAS the screening of Eddie Romeros latest film, Faces of Love. Not only is Romero our only living National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, hes also in his 80s, and we think its inspiring to see a film artist continue to be creatively productive in his senior years.
Best of all, were excited to discover that Romero has chosen to work with young film artistsco-writer Rica Arevalo, cinematographer Jun Aves, editor Ron Dale, assistant director Paolo Villaluna, etc.
This is noteworthy, because it shows how well cinematic creativity fuses the generations …
