Robert Stanley had served in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and was on his third combat tour when he died in a bomb blast north of Baghdad on Monday. He was one of two Virginia soldiers who died in the past week in Iraq, the Department of Defense announced. The other was Sgt. Michael C. Peek, 23, of Chesapeake, who, with two other soldiers, was killed last Saturday when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle.
