Election season nominally begins with the candidates announcing their campaigns; it truly begins with the first knife fight. The Clinton and Obama camps had that little rumble, thanks to David Geffen and Maureen Dowd. Geffen, the liberal Hollywood mogul (is there any other kind?), co-hosted a party that raised $1.3 million for Senator Obama, despite having raised $18 million for Bill Clinton in the past.
