Baghdad Al-Iraqiyah Television in Arabic is observed to highlight the following political and security developments within its 1700 gmt newscast on 5 March:

- "The Iraqi Government has welcomed the results of the Iranian president's visit to Saudi Arabia. It hailed the positions expressed in the meeting held between Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad and King Abdallah Bin-Abd-al-Aziz, custodian of the two holy mosques. A statement issued by the Prime Ministry said that the results of the Iranian-Saudi talks lend support to the Iraqi Government's efforts to achieve security and stability, and to the Law …
