Exports to Japan Earn Kenya Sh2.5 Billion.

Kenya earns Sh2.5 billion annually from its exports to Japan, Kenya's ambassador to Japan has said.

It also imports goods worth Sh20 billion from the Far East nation each year, Mr Dennis Awori said in an interview with the Daily Nation yesterday. According to the envoy, local companies find it difficult to conduct business in Japan partly because it is about 16,000 km from Kenya.

So far, the most aggressive marketing of Kenyan products in Japan is by the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA).
