An environment official has said that the Northwest District Council (NWDC) is not taking heed of its concerns about the revolting litter situation in Maun. Antony Zuze, district coordinator of Ngamiland Association of Environmental Clubs of Botswana (AECB) said that the NWDC has not acted since a six-member delegation from the organisation met with the council chairman Paulos Nkoni. The Maun landfill is an eyesore and Zuze said they have told the council to fence it to control what or who goes in and out but this has not been done.
