Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City-Dong Nai highway project to kick off by year-end.

Section: Regional News - Construction on a highway project linking Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai Province will begin by the end of the year, said Tran Xuan Sanh, general director of the Vietnam Express Highway Corporation (VEC).

Sanh said VEC under the transport ministry had told the city Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to begin site clearance for the 54.9km highway route from Ho Chi Minh City to Dau Giay via Long Thanh in Dong Nai Province.

The project would kick off sometime in the fourth quarter this year if site clearance can be completed in the third quarter, he added.
