Francistown Mayor Buti Billy says it is important to be internationally competitive so local goods and services could have a wider market and reap higher dividends for Batswana.

Billy said it was for this reason that Francistown City Council (FCC) was working flat out to benchmark councils in countries like China, Belgium and Namibia through twinning.

"I must indicate that as an effort to strengthen these relationships, Genk delegation will be visiting Francistown in March and a Chinese delegation will come in May and this calls for thorough preparations," Billy said. …
