IN 1988, under former President of the United States of America, Ronald Reagan, the White House was transformed into a branch office of George Bush Snr. campaign headquarters. White House officials at the time donned red-white-and-blue neckties printed with PUSH FOR BUSH. After the neckties had been distributed at a cabinet meeting, President Reagan called upon his top officers to become surrogate speakers for Bush.
