The Government of Maharashtra intends to buy all the power generated by the upcoming Ratnagiri electricity project at Rs3 per unit to overcome the power shortage in the State. The Group of Ministers has rejected the proposal to sell 700 megawatts of power from the project to the highest bidder to be selected through the Power Trading Corporation.
