At least 258 people in Indonesia have been found infected with HIV, the official Antara news agency said.

It quoted Health Minister Sujudi as saying 40 percent of the virus carriers were foreigners.

Indonesia, the world's fourth most populous country, has established HIV centers in all of the country's 27 provinces in efforts to check the disease's spread.
