Section: General News - The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) on February 21 accepted in principle the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre draft bill, part of the government's strategy to end the deep-South conflict, The Nation reports.

The NLA voted 95 to 11 to accept the bill.

The Interior Ministry legislation establishes the centre as a special task force to tackle the region's protracted insurgency.
