AFTER taking a year-long sabbatical from competition, defending women's champion Sonja Tajsich returns to defend her Langkawi Ironman Malaysia triathlon title tomorrow in confident mood.

The 31-year-old German, a journalist with German-based women's sports magazine "Active Woman" believes her hiatus after winning last year's Langkawi title in her Malaysian debut has not dimmed her prospects this year.
