I WATCHED Diskusi or Karuthukkalam over RTM2 on Feb 16 with much interest. This programme is a talk show and discusses various issues affecting the Indian community and Malaysians at large.

The live programme on that day had two Chinese guests explaining how Chinese New Year was celebrated and the significance of various traditions. Both spoke excellent Tamil. One of them, Alan Arasu, even sang a thevaram (religious song) and explained in detail how he learnt it.
