KLUANG: A remand prisoner used the pretext of answering a call of nature to escape.

He was being transported from one prison to another on Wednesday night when he kicked his guards and escaped.

The detainee, Indonesian Ariffin Ibrahim @ Hadirin Marjan, 38, was still handcuffed when the incident happened.

Ariffin was being taken under police escort from Penor Prison in Pekan to the Kluang Prison in Kahang when the incident occurred.
