BOB Carver is an icon in the international audio-visual (AV) industry for founding illustrious names such as Phase Linear, Carver and now Sunfire. Among his many other contributions to AV is the cubed and compact subwoofer that has a reputation for delivering bass frequencies that many audio experts thought only possible with huge bass drive units in a gargantuan enclosure.

The new Sunfire D-Series compact subwoofers are headed by the D-12, which boasts a 12-inch woofer in a compact enclosure measuring 34.3 centimetres by 34.3cm by 34.3cm.
