BRITISH audio manufacturer Rega has launched its new Brio 3 integrated amplifier, an upgraded third-generation model. Among the improvements are a modified power supply system and a better power transformer.

Coupled with the use of a pair of Sanken 150-watt Darlington output transistors, the Brio 3 can generate up to 49W of power output per channel x 2 over a nominal eight ohms impedance. An electronic circuit provides protection against shorted speakers and reactive loads of 1.7W or less.
