Feb. 20--A 10-year plan to handle 33 school construction projects -- including a new high school in Mint Hill -- all rides on whether a proposed $400 bond referendum gets approved by voters this fall.
That's the word from a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools official who spoke to parents at Matthews Town Hall on Monday night. That bond referendum isn't official yet. School board leaders will likely request one, but Mecklenburg County Commissioners decide whether it goes on the ballot, said Mike Raible of CMS facilities and planning.
