Following the test, the U.S., Canada, Japan and Australia all expressed concern, although Beijing only confirmed the report after a long silence and mounting criticism from Washington

Many hawks in America, and in Taiwan, see this test as another awakening sign of China's real "hostile nature". Many foreign countries regarded the test, which occurred in the same orbit as many U.S. and other countries' satellites, as a sign of the intentions of China's rising military to contest U.S. …
