Feb. 17--Child welfare investigators decided Friday not to take custody of an 8-year-old boy whose father and uncle were charged with drug possession a day after he took cocaine to school, an agency spokeswoman said. The second-grade Scott Elementary School student and his siblings, ages 6, 3 and 1, will be cared for by their grandmother at their home, said Child Protective Services spokeswoman Estella Olguin.

"He said he didn't know it was drugs, but he said he knew it was something important," Olguin said. The boy's father, Eladio Rafael Moreno, 23, was charged Friday with possession of a controlled substance and the boy's uncle, Juan Ruben Cabrero, 21, was…
