Interception reception
The "new'' Interceptor concept is a warmed-over version of the 2002 Lincoln Continental concept. This illustrates how slow and tentative Ford is to go from interesting concepts to production and why it's so far in the red. Had this come out in 2003, it would have stolen the Chrysler 300's thunder. Instead, Ford is so far behind, its new concepts compete with cars that have been in production for three years.

As heir apparent to the Crown Vic, would a police package version of the concept car be badged the Police Interceptor Interceptor? You have to think the cops would love that as they cite speeders. Then again, would those speeders claim double jeopardy?
