Feb. 15--Middle school sports will survive in Antioch at least for the rest of the school year after school officials decided to re-examine the program, an administrator told a group of parents Tuesday night.

School officials temporarily suspended the intramural program between the end of the basketball season and before the start of the soccer and volleyball seasons after various concerns came to light. The decision to freeze sports was also partially spurred by a recent fight that occurred after an Antioch and Park middle schools basketball game.
