Section: General News - Phitsanulok and Nong Khai provinces have safely reached the end of their avian flu surveillance periods.

The Director-General of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Mr. Pirom Srichan, reports that Phitsanulok and Nong Khai provinces recently underwent a 21 day avian flu surveillance period, following the discovery of infected avians in each of the provinces. Mr. Pirom said that the two provinces have safely reached the end of their surveillance period and reported no detection of new cases of avian flu. Angthong province is also under similar …
