Bacolod - The Bacolod city council has ratified the P400-million loan agreement between the city government and the Philippine National Bank for the construction of a new government center.

The council authorized Mayor Evelio Leonardia to sign the loan agreement on Monday.

The city government turned to the PNB after a court cass filed against city officials supporting the project delayed the release of the loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines. A retired policeman, Victor Eduardo, filed before the Ombudsman charges of grave abuse of authority and grave misconduct …
